Jesus said, “I will build My Church—and the gates of hell will not prevail against it!” (Matthew 16:18).
There are several powerful dimensions of His Church. One of those dynamics is: we are His confident ones!
The following statement is the most frequently quoted Old Testament verse throughout the New Testament:
“The Lord says to my lord: ‘Sit at my right hand until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet.” (Psalm 110:1 NIV).
This Scripture is a reference to Jesus’ final authority and ultimate victory over the enemy! The word “footstool”describes “having absolute authority over another.”
Following His epic victory on the Cross, Jesus said, “All authority (Lit.- “all power of absolute rule”) in heaven and on earth has been given to Me.” (Matthew 28:18). “All authority” means “all!” It means that none is left for another. Jesus has complete authority in both the heavenly and earthly realms! He reigns “far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is invoked, not only in the present age but also in the age to come!” (Ephesians 1:21).
When we, His Church, stand in prophetic prayer and proclamation—we never stand alone! We stand under His authority. We stand in His delegated authority. Ephesians 6:18 encourages us to “stand and pray at all times.” This literally means “to stand together with Him—clothed in His strength!” By His strength and unrivaled victory over the enemy “we are powerfully capable of taking our stand against the evil’s schemes” (Ephesians 6:10-11 AMP).
A “move of God” involves us moving with Him! Confidently standing under His authority we are learning to be in awe of what He is doing—while being alert to the enemy’s schemes. Though the enemy may have stolen territory in your family, our cities and regions, even in the nations—we are not giving up the ground! In Jesus’ name we are taking it back!
