For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline 2 Timothy 1:7 NLT
SCRIPTURE READING: Romans 8:15-17 (MSG)
During a season in my life when I was battling fear and uncertainty, one morning during my quiet time with Him, He showed me a picture in the spirit that flashed before my eyes – “MASTER’S KID”. Right then, it was so assuring to receive that reminder from our Heavenly Father that I have nothing to fear because I am His child.
The Lord wants to remind us of our identity. No matter the reason of fear in your life, God is always on the throne and He is our Father. He remains the overall Master, but we no longer remain slaves because He has adopted us as His children, giving us the Spirit of sonship.
Therefore, we can rest assured that as the Master’s kid, we have special access, special privilege and special care as we continue to trust in Him.
REFLECTION:
- How can I exercise authority in my thought life as a son or daughter of the Most High God?
DECLARATION: I’m no longer a slave to fear, I am a child of God! I’m the Master’s Kid!
